Surgery has come and gone...beware the pics on bottom...they are bloody
Well, I finally had the surgery yesterday. Three slices on my tummy later and boy am I in pain. The carbon dioxide they pumped into my stomach has put so much pressure on my diaphragm and nerves that it has caused my neck, shoulders and chest hurt so bad that it waked me up. I have had some minor allergic reactions to all of the meds so I am constantly scratching my face, hands, feet and tummy. They did find that I have a slim to none chance of ever carrying full term and having a baby. Apparently it was a miracle I was able to get "chemically" pregnant the three times before, and no wonder it took 2 years in between each one.My tubes were screwed up badly. One tube did not fully develop when I was in my mothers womb (way to go mom!). The other was being sort of choked off by scar tissue that was caused by what they believe to be childhood trauma to my tummy. They said that how it was leads them to believe it is that old. So I was pretty much screwed from the get go. They did as much cutting and fixing as they could on the damaged one, nothing they can do on the undeveloped one. They want Aaron and I to continue trying to get pregnant after I heal up for a couple of months. They did however say that it is a slim chance and our best chances will be through IVF. Of course, you can afford that on an enlisted soldiers salary?!?! Stupid Tricare!Oh well, guess we'll just have to cancel any vacation and fun plans and just use all of our savings and whatever bonus we get when reenlistment comes up as our IVF Fund. Well, I guess that is about it.
