Scuba Rocks

Aaron and I went on our first open ocean boat dive last month. Found out that after an hour on the boat...well, that smile on my face disappeared. We had to change locations for all of our dives after arrival at the original sites due to the water being to choppy and dangerous for when we wanted to get back on the boat.

Though I was sea sick I still had fun. It was way easier once I actually got under water. No waves hitting and knocking you around. It was a low visability dive (couldn't see very far in front you). I also slipped out of my weight belt, which is very bad for someone like me. I am naturally boyant and though I was spreading my legs to keep the belt at my knees when I noticed it falling...I still started to float to the top. Sure enough my ears started hurting due to a fast ascent. Aaron was able to grab me before I got to high and pulled me down slowly so that I could equalize. Then he and our dive con shoved my fins under the anchor line so I couldn't go anywhere and they fixed my belt for me. Needless to say, it was a very interesting and exciting trip.
